Processing Operator I (12 Month Contract)
This position reports into the Processing Supervisor and is based at Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Role reports to: Processing Supervisor
Location: Guelph, Ontario, Canada
Travel %: None
What you will do
Under minimal direction, the Processing Operator I executes manufacturing steps for bulk pharmaceutical products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensures accurate documentation throughout the process.
This role will likely cover 3 full working days weekly (weekend, and one day during the week from 6 AM to 6 PM - 34.5 hours weekly).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing processes related to Weigh & Dispense, Granulation, Compression, Finishing (Coating & Printing), and Liquids.
- Execute all manufacturing steps including cleaning/sanitation and equipment setup.
- Process raw materials according to batch records, SOPs, and cleaning records.
- Monitor and record all processing parameters and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete SAP/MES transactions, ensuring timely and complete data entry for downtime events.
- Maintain updated training records and adhere to training deadlines.
- Ensure a safe working environment by reporting hazards and completing safety training.
- Promote quality and compliance by identifying quality issues, attending GMP training, and adhering to procedures.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (Grade 12).
- Understanding of GMP compliance.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and SAP.
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, biology, biochemistry).
- 2–3 years of experience in a regulated food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience in solid dose manufacturing in OTC or pharmaceutical facilities.
- Previous mechanical experience or training.
