Every day, your skills will directly impact programs that matter.Job DescriptionGDMS‑C is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering Analyst who will apply engineering principles to the sustainment of existing products and to the development of new systems. The analyst will serve as the subject‑matter expert for maintenance planning, technical documentation, and logistics data for complex electronic, electromechanical and mechanical equipment. Working side‑by‑side with design engineers, program managers, and customers, you will ensure that supportability is built into the product from concept through end‑of‑life.Key ResponsibilitiesReview engineering drawings, electrical schematics, system architecture models, design specifications and vendor manuals to extract support requirementsProvide engineering feedback early in the concept and design phases to improve maintainability, reliability and life‑cycle costPerform Logistic Support Analyses (LSA) including Reliability‑Centred Maintenance Analysis (RCMA), Level‑of‑Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), sparing analysis, life‑cycle‑cost (LCC) analysis and provisioning support for both legacy and new‑product initiativesCreate detailed preventive and corrective‑maintenance procedures, test instructions, inspection guides and troubleshooting instructions for complex military or commercial systemsEngineer packaging, handling, storage and transportation solutions that satisfy environmental, safety and cost constraintsDetermine the tools, test equipment, consumables, personnel and facilities required to execute the maintenance tasks you defineCreate and maintain Logistics Product Data records in an LSAR database in compliance with GEIA‑STD‑0007 / MIL‑STD‑1388‑2BPrepare and deliver formal briefings to customers, program leadership and cross‑functional teams on ILS strategies, methodology and support‑system designsOffer maintenance‑subject‑matter‑expert guidance to engineering, test and sustainment teams, ensuring that design decisions align with supportability goalsEvaluate ILS components of bid proposals, quantify life‑cycle‑cost impacts and make engineering recommendations that strengthen new‑business pursuits.QualificationsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace or related), Applied Science or another STEM discipline from an accredited institutionTwo to seven years of experience applying engineering analysis to product sustainment, including maintenance and repair of complex electromechanical/electronic equipmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical data packagesExperience developing maintenance narratives, fault‑analysis reports or technical manualsPreferred qualificationsProfessional Engineering (P.Eng) designation or in the process of obtaining itFamiliarity with AI/machine-learning modelsWorking knowledge of authoring tools such as Madcap Flare or the EAGLE Publishing SystemFamiliarity with logistics‑data tools (e.g., EAGLE LPD) and demand‑forecasting methods (e.g., cumulative Poisson model)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of maintenance practices, technical documentation and typical support‑system infrastructure requirementsKnowledge of industry‑standard ILS techniques and engineering lifecycle processesStrong analytical, problem‑solving, written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently or within a collaborative team environmentIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations.
