Description:
TheAssociate Talent Acquisitionis a senior level pro whoplays a critical role in identifying and securing top talent to drive organizational success. This role leads the full-cycle recruitment process end-to-end, bringing a strategic and proactive approach to attracting and hiring high-impact talent.
Supporting recruitment across all business units—including Development (Fundraising), Marketing, Business Intelligence & Information Technology (BIIT), and Operations—the Associate builds strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and collaborates closely with HR Business Partners to deliver high-quality hiring outcomes. This role is instrumental in strengthening our talent pipeline and ensuring we attract exceptional candidates aligned with our mission.
You will:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of roles, including technical (IT, data, and systems), marketing, fundraising, and operations positions, from sourcing and screening through to offer and onboarding.
- Execute the recruitment and selection activities across HR recruitment programs including permanent and temporary employee recruitment, volunteers, and Coop and Interns.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by serving as a primary point of contact, proactively managing inquiries, and building strong, professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Build and utilize the various recruitment vehicles (job boards, social media, networking) to source and attract qualified candidates for current vacancies and build a strong pipeline of quality candidates for future consideration.
- Champion inclusive hiring practices by embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into all stages of the recruitment process, and proactively building diverse candidate pipelines to support more equitable hiring outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring leaders across Development, Marketing, BIIT, and Operations to understand hiring needs, including specialized and technical roles.
- Lead the development of structured recruitment tools—including interview guides, assessment exercises, and evaluation frameworks—and contribute to interview panels as needed to ensure rigorous, consistent hiring decisions.
- Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Work with hiring leaders to develop and refine job posting and job profiles to accurately reflect the requirements of positions.
- Maintain up-to-date HR records within the HRIS database (UKG).
- Stay updated with relevant information employment legation and trends to ensure that the recruitment process and postings comply with all legal requirements and company policies.
- Keep apprised of best practices to ensure meaningful and high-quality and employee engagement as well identify opportunities to improve services and productivity.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to inform and execute talent strategies that accelerate hiring, elevate candidate quality, and meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications:

- 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including significant exposure to technical recruitment (e.g., engineering, data, BI, IT)
- Proven ability to lead full-cycle recruitment for complex roles, balancing speed, quality, and candidate experience
- Strong understanding of technical roles and talent markets, with the ability to quickly build credibility with hiring leaders
- Demonstrated experience applying inclusive recruitment practices and strategies to attract and assess diverse talent.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to shape hiring strategies and influence decisions
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage, advise, and build trust with candidates and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record of establishing effective partnerships across teams and functions
- Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple searches, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience developing structured recruitment approaches, including interview guides, assessments, and consistent evaluation practices
- Data-driven and solutions-oriented, with the ability to use insights to improve hiring outcomes and processes
- Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated initiative, creativity, resourcefulness, and flexibility
- Strong client and customer service orientation, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and manage varying expectations.

Expected Hiring Salary Range: annualized salary of $70,056 – $82,418; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $98,902.00 (prorated to a 6 month term). To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate, Talent Acquisition.
Hours**:**Hybrid work model: minimum two days per week in-office (Tuesday and Wednesday).
