Are you a strategic and results oriented leader who continually strives for business improvements? If so, an opportunity exists for you to manage the Business Solutions Unit within the Ministry of Justice's, Public Prosecutions Head Office Branch. We offer a challenging and supportive work environment where you will play a key leadership role in the formulation and implementation of Ministry business and process improvement strategies and initiatives to ensure departmental programs, services and processes are efficient and effective, and aligned with the strategic direction of the Ministry.
In this position you will have primary responsibility for: systems development initiatives, corporate project management, planning and facilitation services, program review/evaluation, process improvement, and management of the contractual agreement with ITO for IT service delivery for Public Prosecutions. This position will have extensive knowledge of business and process improvement techniques and strategies; systems development methodologies; facilitation concepts and strategic planning models in order to provide specialized expertise and advice to senior managers and in leading a team of professionals in the application of theory, processes and models. Knowledge and expertise in project management, government policy, budgeting and contracting processes will be essential.
Typically, the knowledge for this position would be attained through a degree in Business/Public Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A project management designation would be a definite asset. Preference will be given to those with prior experience within the Criminal Justice system.
