As a Rebyota Key Account Manager (KAM), you will be at the forefront of driving Rebyota sales uptake and clinical adoption in targeted Ontario accounts. Your focus will be on infectious disease (ID) prescribers, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, and hospital leadership. You will play a pivotal role in shifting clinical behavior away from repeated antibiotic use toward a proactive, preventative approach in rCDI management. You will be responsible for overseeing the east of Toronto (Markham, Scraborough), and going To Ottawa and Northern ON.
Your day at Ferring
Account Management & Execution
- Identify, target, and manage high-potential ID-focused accounts (hospital, outpatient ID and GI clinics).
- Ensure Rebyota is embedded as standard of care in targeted accounts through strategic engagement of prescribers and decision-makers. Drive activity in territory eg – OLA, round tables etc.
- Drive operational readiness at sites (e.g., site-of-care setup, administration pathways).
- Map and engage key influencers and stakeholders (ID physicians, pharmacists, nurses, referring physicians, administrators, P&T committee members).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access, Marketing, Patient Services, Logistics) to support successful therapy adoption and delivery to patients.
- Leverage account planning tools to track progress, remove access barriers, and accelerate uptake.
Sales & Clinical Promotion
- Achieve territory sales goals in line with national strategy and objectives.
- Deliver compelling, evidence-based messages tailored to each stakeholder’s priorities and mindset.
- Educate healthcare professionals on rCDI burden, microbiome science, and Rebyota’s role in preventing recurrence.
- Shift prescribing behavior from reactive antibiotic use to proactive microbiome restoration.
- Leverage post-NOC momentum to overcome awareness and inertia barriers, ensuring pull-through from interest to prescribing.
Business & Market Acumen
- Analyze territory dynamics, referral networks, and patient flows to optimize impact.
- Understand reimbursement landscape and coverage pathways, adapting approach as needed.
- Track activities and insights using CRM tools and contribute to brand team feedback loops.
- Attend key conferences, and internal planning sessions to stay aligned and informed.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced healthcare/business degree an asset.
- Minimum 6+ years pharmaceutical/medical device / healthcare sales experience.
- 3+ years of hospital-based sales experience is an asset
- Experience in Infectious Diseases (ID) or Gastroenterology (GI) strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in Ontario.
- Demonstrated ability to launch innovative therapies, preferably in new therapeutic categories.
- Skilled in navigating complex healthcare environments, including formulary pathways and clinical protocols.
- Track record of account-based selling, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, perseverant, and presentation skills.
