INTERNATIONAL IMPORT-EXPORT COORDINATOR

MAIN FUNCTIONS

The International Import-Export Coordinator will report to the Controller, Finance.

This is a permanent position that will initially serve as a 12-month maternity leave replacement for our current Import/Export Coordinator. Upon their return, responsibilities may be adjusted to support the team’s continued growth and evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to various business units regarding international customs rules related to import and export
  • Advise Customer service on trade related topics, ex. Incoterms
  • Advise on specific US related rules such as: FSVP, FDA, APHIS, NOP etc
  • Create and update documentation required for import/export activities
  • Verification of Origin., CUSMA, CETA and others Free Trade
    • Prepare and review Free Trade like CUSMA for Lallemand Inc and some others BU in North America. Including the annual review
  • Build and Update guidelines for processes as needed
  • Manage users access for Lallemand Inc, which include few Business Units:
    • CERS, CFIA, FDA, ACE, CARM
  • Manage contract for US and Canada Customs Brokers, act as main contact
  • Manage the halal contract
  • Act as the main contact for our courier services (Fedex, DHL Express, Axxess)
  • Lead organization-wide initiatives related to customs regulations
  • Provide support outside of regular working hours for border-related issues (approximately 5 hours per month)
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a role related to import-export or international logistics (experience in the food industry is an asset).
  • Functional proficiency in French
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently
