About the role
Jokey North America is a part of the Jokey Group. The Jokey Group consists of 14 production sites in 11 countries, employing over 2,500 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries. We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items. Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovativeFinance Administratorto join our team. This position is to fill a vacancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with expertise in automation technologies. This role is crucial in streamlining our accounting processes and ensuring the efficiency of month-end closings.
The position would be Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for daily accounting data entry including accounts receivable, account payable and bank reconciliations;
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor file maintenance, invoice verification and entry, payment processing, statement reconciliations, and handling vendor inquires;
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and correspondence. Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards;
- Assist in tasks to complete month-end and year-end reports, as well as additional financial reports as needed;
- Implement automation solutions improve efficiency and reduce manual data entry;
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure efficient financial operations;
- Other duties as assigned by management;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in accounting/finance/business preferred;
- CPA preferred;
- 2+ years accounting/Accounts Payable experience;
- 2+ years of experience with finance and banking software;
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively;
- Established customer service and negotiation skills;
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel/360)
