About the role
As a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, you will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function for Ipsos Canada. You’ll collaborate with business leaders and finance teams to deliver insightful analysis, assist in forecasting and budgeting, and contribute to financial reporting and performance monitoring. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and analysis to monitor performance against targets and KPIs
- Support the month-end close process by analyzing P&L variances and collaborating with accounting and business teams
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts and the annual budgeting cycle, working closely with business units to gather input and validate assumptions
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to support decision-making
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and digital tools adoption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc analysis and special projects
This might be the job for you if you have:
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CPA designation or progress toward it is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and formula-based modeling; experience building financial templates and conducting proforma analysis to support strategic decision-making is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment System-savvy and technology-oriented, with a strong interest in using digital tools to improve financial processes and reporting.
