Your Opportunity Our Markham office is currently seeking a Project Services Coordinator to become part of a dynamic transportation group specializing in the planning and design of major transit and provincial highways, regional and municipal arterial roads, and related local transportation projects. This opportunity exists for an individual with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with administrative and project management responsibilities, including document control, project correspondence, project controls, project schedules, etc.).
- Follow document control processes and procedures established for project functions including document tracking, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change logs and other communication tools. Fulfill the Document Control function on projects.
- Assist Project Managers with monitoring project progress, developing tracking data, reports and other materials as needed.
- Responsible for adhering to electronic filing (on servers) of project documentation consistent with Stantec document management policy/protocol (Global Data Management) and the project’s contract (confidentiality, etc.)
- Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
- Many other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team-based environment.
- Expertise in the use of MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) with an interest in learning and adapting to new computer programs and processes quickly.
- Experience in SharePoint (managing a site, utilizing the site to its fullest capabilities).
- Able to evaluate needs and make effective decisions with minimal guidance.
Education And Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience within a project coordination or records management role is considered an asset.
- Post-Secondary education and familiarity with ProjectWise and Unifier are also considered assets.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
