Plant Service Technician (Full Time) Edmonton, AB
Purpose:
This position requires the ability to work independently and with a team to perform a wide variety of skilled mechanical duties to install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and facilities.
Major responsibilities:
- Disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc. to repair/replace bearings, gears, seals, structural components, etc.
- Safely troubleshoot, repair and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, blowers, valves, etc.
- Install, repair and maintain mechanical high pressure piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems
- Perform preventive/reactive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
- Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System, plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts, performing scheduled maintenance tasks and completion of all follow up required documentation.
- Complete and document maintenance activities in associated repair ledgers
Qualifications:
Education and Professional experience:
- Alberta trade journeyperson certifications in an appropriate discipline such as Industrial Mechanic (Millwight) or Electrician
- 3+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Welding, PLC, instrumentation, HD Mechanical, cryogenic pump experience an asset
- Ability to read and understand drawings
