The Grande Prairie Public School Division is seeking a full-time teacher for an Innovative Support Centre (ISC) classroom. GPPSD ISC Classrooms provide the opportunity for a more specialized focus for students with broader educational needs. The successful candidate is supported by a multidisciplinary team in their responsibility for individualized program planning for a range of students and collaborating with Educational Assistants to assist with program delivery.

Qualifications
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligible to apply)
Bachelor's degree in Education Specialization in Inclusive Education is an asset but is not mandatory Strong philosophy on inclusion and transferable life skills learning Experience with specialized programming and students with specialized needs Ability to form positive working relationships with staff, parents and students.
Knowledge and understanding of trauma informed practice
NVCI training is an asset, or willingness to be trained Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
