Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES**:**

Provide excellent teaching and learning experiences for students through innovative classroom, simulation, clinical and distance on-line education.

Participate in future focused curriculum development by designing, developing, evaluating and revising high quality learning materials.
-
Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen program partnerships and improve health outcomes.
-
Actively participate in projects and initiatives in the Specialty Nursing Department, School of Health Sciences and BCIT.
-
Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional development, professional practice and/or participation in research.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS**:**
-
Five years recent clinical experience in Perinatal Nursing; some tertiary care experience required.
-
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (one degree must be in Nursing).
-
Experience in nursing education.
-
Advanced Specialty Nursing Certificate or CNA Certification preferred.
-
Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy.
-
Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
-
Current BCCNM practicing license.
-
Computer literacy required, and educational technology preferred.
-
Ability to travel.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
