About the role
Purpose of Position:
The Forklift Operator is responsible to the loading, unloading and storing of customer freight in a safe and efficient manner. Position Details Hours of Work: Morning shift 6:00am - 2:30pm Tuesday to Saturday What’s in it for you: Team atmosphere Unionized working environment Excellent wages with shift premiums Regular Increases Full-time steady hours with opportunities to work overtime Benefits after 1 year of employment Pension after 2 years of employment Well-established company backed by over 50 years of service Key Accountabilities: Operate a forklift to safely load and unload freight from trucks Confirm that inbound freight is receive by either scanning the product or completing inbound forms Verify the packing labels for accuracy of product being shipped Report any damaged freight or quality concerns to the Facility Supervisor Meet all efficiency requirements as determined by the SOP and the Warehouse Manage; Other Duties Performs other duties as required Qualifications: Forklift license 1 to 2 years as propane forklift driver Experience in transportation is a plus Clear criminal record French or English Required Skills: Ability to operate a forklift safely Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively Good time management skills Creative and effective problem-solving ability FRENCH
Object de Position: Operateur de chariot élévateur est responsable du chargement, déchargement et l’entreposage du fret des clients d’un manière sûre et efficace.
Heures de travail: Quart de matin: 6h00 - 14h30 - mardi au samedi
Principales Responsabilités: Utiliser un chariot élévateur à fourche pour charger et décharger en toute sécurité le fret des camions Confirmer que le fret entrant est reçu en scannant le produit ou en remplissant des formulaires entrants Vérifier l’exactitude des étiquettes d’emballage du produit expédié Signalez tout problème de fret ou de qualité endommagé au superviseur de l’installation matière d’efficacité déterminées par la POS et le gestionnaire d’entrepôt Qualifications Requises: Permis de chariot élévateur à fourche 1 à 2 ans en tant que conducteur de chariot élévateur à fourche au propane L’expérience dans le transport est un plus Aucun record criminel Bilingue Compétences Requises : Capacité d’utiliser un chariot élévateur à fourche en toute sécurité Capacité de soulever 50 lb de façon répétitive Bonnes compétences en gestion du temps Capacité créative et efficace de résolution Prise de Décisions et Jugement : Les décisions sont fondées sur des instructions verbales simples et faciles à comprendre, des procédures existantes ou des précédents antérieurs. Les actions ou les décisions sont presque toujours vérifiées par le contremaître. Conditions de travail: Ce poste travaillera dans un environnement d’entrepôt, à l’aide d’un chariot élévateur à fourche. L’EPI doit être porté lorsqu’il est sur le sol de l’entrepôt.
