About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in data architecture and modeling to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring over 12 years of data modeling experience, proven skills in leading large-scale transformation programs, and a solid background in banking and financial data domains. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders to drive data strategy and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise-level initiatives.
- Build and optimize L2 data layer models to support large data transformation programs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
- Work with ERwin Data Modeler and other modeling tools (SAP PowerDesigner, Microsoft Visio) to create and maintain models.
- Provide guidance on data architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
- Support data integration, metadata management, and documentation of enterprise data assets.
- Ensure scalability, consistency, and accuracy of models when working with large data sets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure models align with enterprise architecture and compliance needs.
- Present data model designs and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in data modeling, with expertise in ERwin Data Modeler.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience in designing L2 layers for large-scale data transformation programs.
- Proven experience as a Lead Data Modeler, working with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Redshift database models (preferred).
- Background in Banking/Financial Services (required).
- Experience with finance data and Anaplan (nice to have).
- Familiarity with big data, enterprise data models, and handling large, complex data sets.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
