Position Summary
This position is key to promoting the continuous improvement of Garaventa Lift. Knowledge on Garaventa Lift products, Lean manufacturing promotion and related continuous improvement tools are important in ensuring to get positive results in all aspects of continuous improvements activities in Garaventa Lift. This full-time role is key to leading our operation and manufacturing departments by ensuring quality, safety and productivity from the start to end of the production processes.
The CI Specialist will be a strong team player, highly detail-focused, and skilled in planning, organizing, coordinating and promotion of all CI-related activities, inclusive of quality, health & safety as well as productivity promotion in Garaventa Lift. He/she must have excellent communication skills to influence the entire organization towards building a world-class organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
- Manage Pivot88 implementations and related CI initiatives
- Conduct all incoming inspections of Garaventa Lift parts
- Monitor all RMA and Quality Feedback processes for completeness, accuracy, and issue trends
- Oversee all calibration activities across Garaventa Lift
- Organize and conduct internal audits — QMS, FDA, Health & Safety, and Environmental Systems
- Lead active analysis of field failures through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk-Based Thinking, including testing of mechanical and hydraulic failures
- Review all Non-Conforming (NCR) products and parts and manage the NCR process accordingly
- Maintain and improve the OSSE/COR (Certificate of Recognition) Certification
- Manage and coordinate the Garaventa Improvement Program (GIP)
- Support all other related CI activities as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis and Lean program promotion
- Exposure to ISO 9001 QMS standards, FDA requirements, Health & Safety, and Environmental system auditing
- Familiarity with all facets of the manufacturing process
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Smartsheets and Pivot88 is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Detail-oriented with a passion for precision and accuracy
- Proactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team or independently
