Co-op Program Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Computer Science student to join our team as an AI Development Co-op. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our firm’s digital transformation by collaborating with various departments to design, build, and deploy specialized AI agents. You will work at the intersection of technical innovation and financial operations, helping our teams leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance the service we provide to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

AI Agent Development: Collaborate with department leads to identify operational bottlenecks and develop custom AI agents/workflows to solve specific business problems. Workflow Integration: Build and refine automation pipelines that integrate AI solutions into our existing business systems, ensuring seamless performance and usability. Responsible AI Implementation: Partner with our operations team to ensure all AI tools adhere strictly to our corporate AI Policy, emphasizing data privacy, security, and the protection of confidential client information. Testing & Quality Assurance: Rigorously test AI outputs for factual accuracy, reliability, and bias, ensuring that all deployed solutions meet the high standards of a financial services environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with diverse teams—from Marketing to Portfolio Management—to translate complex needs into functional technical requirements. Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for all developed agents and assist in training staff on the proper, secure use of these new tools.

What You Bring To Us (Skill and Qualifications)

Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence/Data Science program.

Technical Proficiency

Strong programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar). Experience or coursework related to Large Language Models (LLMs), API integrations, and prompt engineering. Familiarity with database management and data structures. Analytical Rigor: Ability to critically evaluate the outputs of AI models and a strong commitment to data integrity. Professionalism: A high level of discretion and respect for confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of our business. Communication: Ability to explain technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business goals into technical execution.

Compliance Note: This role will be subject to our internal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy, which requires all employees to prioritize client confidentiality, verify AI-generated output for accuracy, and avoid disclosing sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) within LLMs.
