Location: Thorold, ON Status: Full-Time Permanent, On-Site (with ad‑hoc flexibility) This posting is to fill an existing vacancy. About the Role CAA Niagara is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Events & Sponsorship Coordinator to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing CAA Niagara’s marketing events while ensuring strong collaboration with internal teams, community partners, and vendors. You will play a key role in building community engagement, enhancing brand presence, and supporting sponsorship initiatives across the Niagara Region. This includes managing event logistics, supporting social media content capture, and ensuring sponsorship commitments are fulfilled. The expected salary range for this role is $50,000.00-54,000.00. Placement within this range will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience. Key Responsibilities Event Coordination Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including Member-exclusive events, community activations, in‑branch events, trade shows, and partner events. Develop event timelines, run‑of‑show documents, and checklists. Secure venues, permits, vendors, catering, AV, and staffing. Lead on‑site event execution, resolving issues in real time. Represent CAA Niagara as an ambassador, demonstrating our core values and passion for the Niagara community. Collaborate with the Marketing team to support event‑related campaigns that drive attendance and engagement. Capture photos and videos at events and coordinate with the Social Media Coordinator on content needs. Maintain inventory of branded marketing supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate and items are clean, organized, and properly stored. Support administrative tasks including data entry, project coordination, and other duties as required. Sponsorship Coordination Review and evaluate sponsorship and donation requests based on organizational criteria. Manage sponsorship budgets and track allocations (cash, in‑kind, volunteer hours). Coordinate sponsorship deliverables such as logos, signage, mentions, social posts, and speaking opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with sponsored organizations and community partners. Ensure fulfillment of sponsorship agreements for both CAA Niagara and partner organizations. Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, vendors, and community organizations. Support partner activations and collaborative marketing initiatives. Work cross‑functionally with marketing, communications, operations, and leadership teams. Logistics & Reporting Track event expenses and reconcile post‑event costs. Measure event and sponsorship success using KPIs such as attendance, engagement, ROI, and community impact. Prepare post‑event and sponsorship reports with insights and recommendations. Identify new opportunities for community involvement and brand visibility. Qualifications & Skills Strong creative problem‑solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about community engagement. Proficiency with social media platforms and ability to troubleshoot basic issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professional writing. Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure. Education & Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in event management or a related field. Diploma or degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline (preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience using tablets and comfort troubleshooting basic technical issues. Must‑Haves (BFOR) Valid G‑class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract. Ability to obtain and remain on CAA Niagara’s vehicle insurance. Working Conditions Primarily on‑site at our Thorold, ON office, with frequent off‑site event work across the Niagara Region. Fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. Regular evening, weekend, and holiday work based on event schedules. Physical activity including lifting, carrying, and extended periods of standing or walking.
