Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactiveHR & Recruitment Assistantto take ownership of recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of caregivers. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring we consistently hire strong candidates and maintain fully compliant employee files. This is a part time position, up to 20 hrs/wk.

Recruitment & Hiring

• Create, post, and manage job ads (Indeed, job boards, social media)

• Screen all incoming applications and shortlist qualified candidates

• Conductall phone interviews and initial candidate assessments

• Schedule and conductin-person interviews

• Evaluate candidates and provide hiring recommendations

• Maintain an active pipeline of qualified caregiver

Onboarding & Documentation

• Lead onboarding process for all new hires

• Prepare and complete all employee documentation, including:

• Collect, verify, and track: Criminal Record Checks/Driver abstract/Certifications

• Ensure all employee files arecomplete, accurate, and audit-ready

HR Administration & Compliance

• Maintain organized digital and physical employee records

• Track expiry dates for certifications and compliance documents

• Support payroll preparation and update in payroll software

• Create ROE for

• Coordinate with scheduling team on new hires and availability

Employee Experience

• Support a smooth and professional onboarding experience

• Act as first point of contact for basic HR-related questions

• Assist with internal communication and staff follow-ups

Required

• 2+ years experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative roles

• HR certificate or diploma

• Proven experience conducting interviews (phone and/or in-person)

• Ability to manage multiple candidates and deadlines simultaneously

• Comfortable using job boards (Indeed) and basic HR systems

• Experience in home care, healthcare, or staffing environments
