15.50 hours per week, 0.40 FTE 8am - 4:15pm, Monday and Tuesday

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled temporary part-time Clerical
Assistant to join our team at St. Michael's Long Term Care Centre located at 7404 139 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Director of Resident Care, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with families and Residents
- Provide telephone reception, clerical support, and maintain medical records for the nursing station
- Maintain supplies on the floor and in CSR
Qualifications
- Previous clerical experience in a health care setting
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential
- Completion of a medical terminology course is preferred
- Candidates with unit clerk training, and/or experience in a long term care setting will be given preference
- Candidates must be capable of functioning effectively with frequent interruption and possess excellent customer service and problem solving skills
ALL SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PRIOR TO START DATE
- A current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained on more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
- A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
- Completion of all Hepatitis B vaccines.
