THE ROLE The Community Recreation Administrative Assistant plays an important role for Personnel Support Programs. They are essential in provides administrative support for the planning, organizing and delivering of community recreation activities for our military members and their families.
We believe that when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are able to take good care of themselves and their families, they can do better both at home and at work. Whether families need to sign their kids up for recreational programs, improve their own fitness, or make friends in a new community, our services are here to help.
The Community Recreation Administrative Assistant acts as point of contact for internal and external customers. They prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material. They respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to the appropriate person.

Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses High School diploma AND several years’ experience in administration or related field
Experience In office administration
In basic accounting
In preparing sales reports
In drafting and distributing correspondence
In bookkeeping
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In using software for publications and promotional correspondence
Experience in using reservation systems an asset
Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
Language Requirements English Essential / Bilingual an asset
Reading: Advanced
Writing: Advanced
Oral: Advanced
