Collaborating with partners across the university, CMPA delivers strategic marketing campaigns, engaging digital experiences, and compelling storytelling that strengthen McMaster’s brand and showcase the University’s impact.
We are seeking a talented Digital Marketing Specialist for a 16-month contract to play a key role in advancing the University’s digital marketing and web strategy. In this position, you will manage a multi-website environment and collaborate with agency partners, content creators, and subject matter experts across the University to deliver a superior user experience.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client service. You will have experience in UX/UI design, digital analytics, and SEO, as well as proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. You will also support the team by helping to identify the most effective technical tools and strategies to achieve results.
Job Description
Accountabilities:
- Manage relationships for specific projects including the review and consolidation of content and feedback for all user experience (UX), website wireframing, site mapping, email design, and technical deliverables.
- Consult with campus partners and collaborators regarding project and content requirements.
- Track, measure, and optimize content and campaign performance using analytics.
- Proof and edit material for accuracy and completion.
- Troubleshoot technical problems with software platforms.
- Provide insights and recommendations to produce engaging content and how to use technology to meet specific needs.
- Help deliver training to internal campus partners.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years of prior experience.

SEO and digital analytics experience (Google, Social, etc)

CRM system experience (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, etc)
-
Experience with CMS systems.

Experience with Office 365 and the Adobe suite of design tools.

Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Project management and organizational skills.

Excellent customer-service skills and strong service orientation.

Time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Superior attention to detail and design.
