About the role
A Day in the Life
As a Millwright, you play a key role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems. Leveraging your mechanical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and commitment to continuous improvement, you install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery while supporting plant reliability and performance. Safety is a top priority, and you are comfortable working from drawings, schematics, and blueprints to complete maintenance activities.
What you’ll do
Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and routine equipment checks. Support facility repairs and provide technical assistance to operations teams. Follow established maintenance schedules, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. Complete basic fabrication and repair work using welding and plasma-cutting equipment. Perform other duties as required.
What you bring to our team
Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification with Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial environment or a related service industry. Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, including grain handling and cleaning equipment. Experience with welding, rigging, and the operation of mobile equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, equipment diagrams, building plans, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
