Position Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, MRO supplies, and vendor relationships to support operational and production needs across the organization. This role works closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure materials are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with budget and inventory requirements. The Procurement Buyer plays a key role in supplier development, cost reduction, inventory management, and maintaining accurate ERP system data in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:

Source materials, industrial products, equipment, and MRO supplies to support company operations.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, lead times, and payment terms.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, including conducting supplier audits when required.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain ERP purchasing data including minimums, maximums, and lead times.

Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure accurate product revisions and purchasing requirements.

Track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and order accuracy.

Resolve purchasing, invoicing, shipping, and delivery discrepancies in a timely manner.

Coordinate expedited shipments and emergency material requests when necessary.

Monitor market conditions and supplier activity to proactively address supply chain risks and opportunities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
What you need to be successful:

College Diploma
-
5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment
-
Knowledge of industrial products, metals, hardware, commodities and equipment
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and ERP systems.

Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills
-
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with domestic and international shipping
