About the role
Established multi-site Childcare Operator seeks an FDK/SA Assistant for a vacant position at our Pineway Childcare Learning Centre location.
Position: Permanent Part-Time – Split Shift (Full Time hours on PA days/Breaks)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR – AED Level C
- Current and Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Complete Toronto Public Health Medical and Immunization requirements
Skills Required:
- Warm and Energetic individual who has the ability to work with Children of all ages, experience with Kindergarten and School Age group is an asset.
- Must possess strong initiative and organizational skills and have a positive attitude
- Dependable and Flexible - arrives on time and ready to commence work as scheduled
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Children, Staff and Parents, ICSG Management, and any other Governing Agencies
- Must have general knowledge of Childcare Operations and an ability to comply with all the requirements from CCEYA/AQI/TPH/ICSG [incl. TDSB Policies and Procedures for sites located in TDSB]
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Has the ability to implement an Early Childhood Program as per requirements set out by governing agencies
- Maintain Room control with positive Behaviour Management Strategies
- Ability to plan and implement a program
Assets:
- Working Knowledge of the Lillio Application (Parent Portal)
- Experience with laptop/tablet use to program and record Children’s profiles
Hours of work:
- Centre Hours of Operation are 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Split Shift > During the School Year: 7:00-9:00a.m. and 3:00-6:00p.m. [5 hours per day] Hours may vary based on School Year Schedule
- During Summer, P.A. Days, March and Christmas Breaks [8 hours per day]
- Opportunity to work additional supply hours during School Year
