The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Production Mining Engineer, the underground drilling and blasting technician is responsible for conceiving, designing and monitoring of various mining activities for open pits and underground mines. The main responsibilities are:
- Conceive plans of drilling/blasting sites for underground mines and pits;
- Conceive plans for surface and underground infrastructure;
- Weekly planning of all mine activities.
- Process, verify, validate and compile the various data obtained;
- Write daily activity reports;
- Develop projects to optimize mining operations;
- Participate in the start-up of several different mines, both underground and pit.
- Perform any other tasks the Production Mining Engineer deems necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or mining technique;
- Minimum of 2 years job-related experience or equivalent;
- Experience in open-pit and underground mining;
- Good knowledge of MS office and Deswik;
- Communication skills (reports, presentations, etc.);
- Possession of a valid driver's license and general explosives handling license is essential
- Possession of the FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5-7).

- Bilingual (French and English).
