About the role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Human Resources professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, partnering with leaders, and providing practical, business-focused HR support.

As our Senior Human Resources Generalist, you'll join a collaborative HR team consisting of a Director of Human Resources, an HR Coordinator, and a Training & Development Specialist. Together, our team supports the full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, payroll, training and development, disability management, compliance, and organizational initiatives.

In this role, you'll serve as a key HR partner to leaders and employees across the organization, providing guidance on a broad range of HR matters while helping foster a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace. 💼 What You'll Do Partner with leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, attendance management, accommodations, and policy interpretation. Coach leaders through employee matters while ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company policies and employment legislation. Conduct workplace investigations, support conflict resolution, and prepare clear, objective documentation. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, interviews, candidate selection, offers, onboarding, and orientation. Administer bi-weekly payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Process payroll and HRIS changes, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee status changes. Coordinate disability management, return-to-work planning, workplace accommodations, and employee leaves. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files. Interpret and apply Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and company policies. Draft employee correspondence, employment agreements, disciplinary documentation, and other HR communications. Support employee engagement initiatives, policy development, HR reporting, and continuous improvement projects. Build strong relationships with leaders and employees while serving as a trusted HR resource. Collaborate with Finance, Health & Safety, and operational leaders to support business objectives and deliver exceptional employee service. Contribute wherever needed - this is a collaborative, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

✅ What You Bring Minimum five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist role. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline. CHRP designation required; CHRL designation is considered an asset. Demonstrated experience providing employee relations guidance and coaching leaders. Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing confidential employee matters. Experience processing payroll in a multi-employee environment. Experience administering disability management, attendance management, workplace accommodations, and performance management. Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, and Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is considered a strong asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines. Exceptional judgment, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Manufacturing or industrial experience is considered an asset.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
