About Appletree Medical Group:
- Appletree Medical Group is a leading multidisciplinary medical group with clinics across Ottawa and the GTA. We are known for providing doctors with a better practice environment, higher incomes and better trained staff and diagnostic tools.
- Our team of 200 dedicated doctors provides exceptional care to over 500,000 patients across the province annually.
- Our state-of-the-art facilities boast modern amenities, spacious settings, and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- At Appletree, we enable doctors to flourish in their practice. Doctors who are supported by properly trained staff and an experienced administrative team can then focus on the enjoyable aspects of medicine and can therefore provide a higher quality of care. We take excellent care of our colleagues, providing them with opportunities to practice both within OHIP but also being able to see a large number of private patients.
- Our goal is to provide a successful, stable and supportive practice environment, underpinned by 30 years of experience in doing so.
Duties:
- Provide expert medical care to patients at a clinic (or virtual care) convenient to you and your lifestyle.
- Some doctors have a broad scope of practice, some have a narrower focus. Within a large group environment, you have the flexibility to choose the type of practice you would like to have.
- OHIP or Private pay patients, in clinic, virtual clinic or hybrid practice. You have more options with Appletree and we provide training on EMR, virtual and other tools if you are new to some tools or would simply like a refresher on them.
- Some doctors prefer acute care, some prefer appointment based practices, some like to do counselling, the diversity of practice styles allows our group to better meet the needs of our patient population. It's your practice, we provide an environment, tools and staff so that now you can fine tune it.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. With ready access to specialists, you are not alone and you are not bottle-necked when you need a second or specialist's opinion.
- We provide care 7 days a week, so we also have Evening and Weekend shift availability.
Qualifications:
- Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Experience providing primary care services to a diverse population.
