Openings:
1 x Commercial Insurance Advisor - TFT - Please note that this is a contract till end of November 02, 2026. There is a strong possibility for extensions and/or permanent conversions, but are subject to performance, operational needs, and will need to be interviewed for. This Full-Time position is 5 days a week, and is a hybrid position based out of our Burnaby, BC head office. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.
As a Commercial Insurance Advisor, you’ll be one of the first people our customers meet when they’re seeking BCAA’s small business insurance products. You’ll meet their needs by delivering amazing experiences and solid advice when business customers require assistance using the online quote and self-service tools, or when they prefer to speak to an advisor.

- You’re highly organized with excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
During a typical day, you will:
- Sell and upgrade BCAA Products and Services over digital channels (ex: phone, chat, email, video), acquire, support, and renew small business insurance customers
- Growing and manage the book of business and introducing new methods for improving the service and retention experience for small business customers
- Implements tactics for improving conversion, sales and retention to meet growth targets
- Update information and insurance policy details into applicable systems and proactively following up with customers
- Participate in webinars and seminars to promote the SBI product and attending training courses
What you bring:
- At least three years of experience in insurance
- General Insurance Level 2 or Level 3 license and working toward completion of CAIB or CIP designation
- Proven track record of managing and growing a book of business
- Demonstrated sales productivity and selling skills, with proven ability to balance customer needs, disciplined risk management and revenue growth
- Limited history of Errors and Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC
- Strong computer skills with basic knowledge of MS Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Bonus Qualifications! Commercial insurance experience

The hourly *range for this position is $*36.55/hr *to $*45.68/hr and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
