POSITION****SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Finance and IT, the Manager, Procurement and Financial Services oversees the City's procurement, inventory and insurance functions and ensures processes are fair, transparent and compliant with applicable legislation, trade agreements and City policies.
ESSENTIAL****QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement or a related field.

Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, finance, budgeting, or a related municipal administrative function, including supervisory experience in a unionized environment.

Experience supporting municipal budgeting processes, financial analysis or capital planning is considered an asset.

Professional designation such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or other relevant procurement or financial designation is considered an asset.

Thorough knowledge of public sector procurement practices, competitive bidding law, contract administration, trade agreements, and applicable legislation governing local government procurement.

Experience in a municipal or broader public sector environment is preferred, with familiarity with municipal budgeting processes, capital planning, and council reporting considered an asset.

- Experience in a municipal utility environment and knowledge of commercial insurance in a municipal setting are considered assets.

Experience working within a unionized municipal environment and collaborating with multiple operational departments is considered an asset.
EMPLOYMENT****TYPE:

Permanent, full time: 37.5 hour per week

On site, with flexibility in remote work.

Compensation: $104,445-$116,050
