About the role
Job Description As a Coordinator, Estimating will be responsible for ensuring all bidding and estimating activities are tracked and reported according to Davie’s estimating, bids and contracts key processes. They will also work very closely with the Bids and Proposals Lead, supporting the coordination of active bids and proposals. More specifically you will:
- Actively look for and report on new solicitations published by potential clients online;
- Support the coordination of Davie’s estimating and business winning processes;
- Maintain the bid and opportunity register to track all of Davie’s potential new business opportunities;
- Organize and administer Estimating projects, including setting up Teams and SharePoint sites and folder structures, and archiving old projects;
- Track and report on amendments to solicitations published by clients, including reporting any clarifications or questions and answers published to the relevant bid teams;
- Read and support the breakdown of customer requirements into the relevant estimating and proposal documentation, including the creation of progress trackers and work breakdown structures;
- Support the organization of estimating reviews, bid reviews and approval meetings according to the associated bid schedules and the business winning processes, including taking notes and minutes when necessary;
- Support the creation, editing and formatting of bid and proposal documentation as required, including liaising with other departments for their input;
- Support the management of meetings and diaries for the Director of Estimating and the Estimating Team.
Qualifications
- Have experience in managing tenders and bids, estimating or business development in the maritime field.
- Have College education combined with at least two years of related experience.
- Experience in major construction projects or engineering programs would be an asset.
- Fully bilingual written and spoken (French and English).
