Position Overview
General Manager, Experiential will lead SJC’s experiential division, Wonder. This role is responsible for all aspects of experiential programming across the company’s portfolio of brands, and is central to developing, executing, and monetizing events that engage audiences, build community, and drive business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Wonder’s budget, P&L, and analytics to ensure sustainable profitability.
- Work with the Group Publisher to grow experiential revenue by 4x from 2.5M to 10M while exceeding 30% profit contribution.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive experiential roadmap encompassing digital/virtual, hybrid, and live event formats that strengthen audience relationships and brand loyalty.
- Build and expand Wonder’s signature events portfolio.
- In partnership with the Senior Director of Brand Experiences, lead the strategic direction and growth of Wonder, ensuring all experiential initiatives align with company goals and extend each brand’s reach and influence.
- Oversee creation of digital experiential events—virtual summits, live-streamed interviews, interactive experiences—that increase website traffic, engagement, and revenue opportunities.
- In partnership with the Group Publisher, mentor and guide the Wonder team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and operational excellence across every aspect of experiential production.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in event strategy, marketing, or experiential innovation within media, entertainment, or lifestyle industries.
- Proven track record in building and monetizing immersive experiential platforms, both in-person and digital.
- Deep understanding of audience insights, content-driven engagement, and branded event storytelling.
- Ability to translate brand and editorial identities into original, impactful event concepts under the Wonder umbrella.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
