Compensation:$25.02/ hour plus vacation pay; 2.5% in lieu of benefits & Health Care Spending Account upon completion of probation
Site: Hull
**Location:**Strathroy, ON
**Schedule:**16-32 hrs/week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays, night shifts.

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight support to children, youth, and/or adults in a residential setting, including individuals with medical, mental health, developmental, and communication needs
- Maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment during overnight hours, including completing bed checks and responding to urgent or crisis situations in accordance with established protocols
- Support participants with activities of daily living, personal care, and life skills development through modelling, prompting, and encouragement
- Administer and monitor medications as required and in accordance with training and policies
- Complete routine documentation, logs, and reports, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform household responsibilities including cleaning, general maintenance, and meal preparation
- Transport and/or accompany participants to off-site activities when required
- Build and maintain respectful, professional, and therapeutic relationships with participants, families, colleagues, and external partners
- Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care in all aspects of service delivery
Qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary diploma inChild and Youth Care (CYC)orSocial Service Worker (SSW)-or an equivalent Human Services program. -Please Note: Personal Support Worker (PSW) and Developmental Services Worker (DSW) certifications donot**meet the educational requirements for this position.
- Up to one (1) year of related experience supporting vulnerable individuals with specialized needs
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and responsive in urgent or crisis situations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional and personal boundaries
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic documentation systems
- Multilingualism and diverse lived experience are considered assets
Requirements:
- Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
- Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Broad Record Check
- Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
