Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to perform specialized cleaning procedures in isolation areas while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English. Proficient in basic computer applications required for daily tasks. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong time management skills and the ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in all duties. Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position, including standing for extended periods and safely moving or lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a hospital environment and adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols. Must possess a valid Criminal Record Check issued within the past six months. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Covenant Health currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment, including knowledge of floor care maintenance procedures. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with training in customer service and relations. WHMIS certification required.
