Motion Graphics Designer - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.

This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.

Eligible Students

• Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria

• International Student must have a valid Work permit.

• Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.

Summer Contract - Temporary Part-Time (May 2026 - August 2026) Up to 35 hours of work per week

Summary

The FSU Animation and Interactive Media Designer is passionate about connecting graphic design & motion design to craft unique and compelling motion design media to inform, inspire and engage student users across multiple formats. The FSU Animation and Interactive Media Designer is a storyteller and will advocate for design excellence contributing to the creative vision, and bring typography, images, and layout together to create these pieces of animation.

Job Duties

• Collaborate on concepts for promotion and can work independently on motion graphic projects
• Ideate, design and animate creative for content spots for use, but not limited to, Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) social media channels
• Prepare graphics to technical specifications and quality control standards
• Editing raw creative footage and add effects/elements (audio, video, colours, animation) using existing material, or creating new one, as needed
• Make use of pre-existing visual elements and design systems to create artwork
• Work closely and collaboratively with other creatives
• Ensure all creative material meets brand standards
• Collaborate with team to strive for strong creative ideas and results
• Work within tight timelines to complete graphics and ensure production deadlines are met

Requirements

• Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program.
• Enrolled in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, 3D Animation and Character Design, or a related program.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience with 2D/3D motion graphics and animation.
• Strong understanding of graphic design principles and multimedia production.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Reliable attendance and adaptability to changing project needs.
