Job Title: Nurse II – Occupational Health Registered Nurse
Location: Strathcona, AB Type: Contract Duration: One year with a potential extension
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site occupational health services at the Strathcona Refinery. Working within a collaborative clinic environment, the successful candidate will support employee health and wellness, provide clinical assessment and injury management services, maintain medical documentation, and contribute to occupational health programs. A comprehensive 2–3 week orientation will be provided.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational health nursing services
Conduct medical assessments and occupational evaluations Assess, treat, and document workplace injuries Maintain EMR documentation Support case management and fitness-for-work assessments Coordinate health screening and surveillance programs Support bloodwork programs Provide health education Participate in health and safety initiatives Maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
3–5 years Occupational Health experience EMR experience Strong injury management and case management experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Industrial or refinery experience preferred.
Key Competencies
Occupational Health Expertise Clinical Assessment and Triage Case Management Fitness-for-Work Evaluation Health Surveillance Risk Assessment Communication Team Collaboration Professional Accountability.
