Litigation Legal Assistant (Maternity Leave – 1 Year)

Location: Vancouver, BC
Term: 12-month maternity leave contract (option to extend 6 months)
Schedule: Full-time, 4 days in office per week after 3 months

Role Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to provide temporary support during maternity leave. This role suits someone with litigation experience who is organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support litigation matters and provide administrative assistance
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and memos
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files
- Track deadlines and assist with hearings, schedules, and filings
- Communicate with internal teams and external counsel
Qualifications
- Prior litigation legal assistant experience
- Experience in personal injury, human rights, and/or breach of contract is an asset
- Strong organization, drafting, and time-management skills
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
