Location: Vancouver, BC

Term: 12-month maternity leave contract (option to extend 6 months)

Schedule: Full-time, 4 days in office per week after 3 months

You will join a legal team of four lawyers and three assistants.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to provide temporary support during maternity leave. This role suits someone with litigation experience who is organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support litigation matters and provide administrative assistance
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and memos
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic files
  • Track deadlines and assist with hearings, schedules, and filings
  • Communicate with internal teams and external counsel

Qualifications

  • Prior litigation legal assistant experience
  • Experience in personal injury, human rights, and/or breach of contract is an asset
  • Strong organization, drafting, and time-management skills
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
