The Markets Program Execution & Transformation (MPE&T) Team is part of the front office and works with all global Markets businesses and multiple Citi functions, including Trading, Risk, Finance and Technology to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the Team is to design and implement integrated solutions in the most efficient way for Citi's Markets business and its clients. The role will be part of the MPE&T Team’s Program Management Office leading cross-project program management activities for a global regulatory initiative. The candidate must be an individual experienced in project management, with excellent Power Point / executive presentation skills, have strong communication skills, and a "do what it takes" attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily execution of significant projects within a focus area and resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.
- Creates executive level Power Point presentations to support program governance, management information, and regulators.
- Manages all aspects of budgeting, hiring, and resource management for the program.
- Ensures that all programs and projects adhere to the Bank's program management policies and standards.
- May supervise day-to-day work of contractors or junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role.
- Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
- Ensures creation of project plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
- Ensures change control is executed throughout project.
- Identifies, documents, and understands project dependencies.
- Tracks actual project costs, identify variances, and reforecast project costs as needed.
- Measures project management performance against standards.
- Ensures appropriate project staffing levels.
- Establishes project communication needs and create project communication plan.
- Partners with cross function peers to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- 3-7- years of experience managing or participating in projects and teams within the financial services/banking industry
- Must be able to evidence strong Power Point presentation and executive-level messaging skills
- Experience in Big 4 consulting firms desirable
