<p>We are preparing a bid in response to a Government of Canada requirement at DND and are seeking a qualified <strong>Application / Software Architect (Level 3)</strong> to include in our proposal.</p><p> </p><p>This is a <strong>proposal-based opportunity</strong>. Candidates must clearly demonstrate their experience against the criteria below. Only complete and compliant submissions will be considered.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Please note: All referenced projects must be a minimum of six (6) months in duration.</strong></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><h3><u><strong>Mandatory Experience Requirements</strong></u></h3><p><strong>1. Overall Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>ten (10) years of experience</strong> performing the duties of an <strong>Application / Software Architect (equivalent to TBIPS Stream 1, Level 3)</strong></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>2. Education</strong></p><ul><li>A degree in one of the following fields: </li><ul><li>Computer Science / Computer Programming</li><li>Software Engineering / Systems Engineering</li></ul><li>A copy of the degree must be provided </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>3. Data Analytics and Cloud Architecture Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>eight (8) years of experience</strong> architecting <strong>advanced data analytics solutions on cloud platforms</strong></li><li>Minimum <strong>five (5) years of experience leading enterprise-grade data implementation projects</strong></li><li>Demonstrated experience across <strong>at least three (3) projects</strong></li></ul><p><em>An enterprise-grade project refers to a complex, large-scale initiative involving multiple departments or locations, requiring robust infrastructure to manage high volumes of data, transactions, and diverse functional needs.</em></p><p></p><p><strong>4. Certifications</strong></p><ul><li>One of the following certifications is required: </li><ul><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert</li></ul><li>A copy of the certification must be provided </li></ul><p></p><h3><u><strong>Additional Requirments</strong></u></h3><p>Candidates should demonstrate the following experience. These criteria will be used to assess submissions as part of the overall evaluation.</p><p></p><p><strong>R1 ? ETL / ELT Pipeline Experience</strong></p><p>Demonstrated experience designing, building, and optimizing <strong>ETL/ELT pipelines</strong> to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple sources.</p><p>Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating <strong>significant experience (8+ years)</strong> in this area.</p><p></p><p><strong>R2 ? Data Integration and Transformation</strong></p><p>Demonstrated experience integrating <strong>diverse data sources</strong> and performing data transformations to ensure:</p><ul><li>Data quality</li><li>Consistency</li><li>Reliability</li></ul><p>Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating <strong>extensive experience across complex environments</strong>.</p><p></p><p><strong>R3 ? Big Data Platforms and Tools</strong></p><p>Demonstrated experience utilizing <strong>big data processing tools</strong>, including:</p><ul><li>Apache Spark</li><li>Databricks</li><li>Azure Synapse</li><li>Azure Data Lake</li></ul><p>Preference will be given to candidates with <strong>extensive experience managing large-scale cloud-based data platforms</strong>.</p><p></p><p><strong>R4 ? DevOps and CI/CD for Data Platforms</strong></p><p>Demonstrated experience utilizing <strong>Microsoft DevOps tools</strong> to:</p><ul><li>Automate workflows for CI/CD</li><li>Optimize cloud-based data platforms</li></ul><p>Experience should include <strong>Major Projects</strong> within the federal government.</p><p><em>A Major Project is defined as a project delivered within the federal government with a value exceeding $10M.</em></p><p>Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating <strong>experience across multiple m
