🚨 Contract Opportunity: Senior SOX Auditor (6–12 Month Contract | Hybrid – Toronto Area) Our client, a leading multi-national manufacturing and distribution organization, is seeking an experienced SOX Auditor to join their team on an initial 6–12 month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This is a great opportunity for a professional who enjoys hands-on SOX audit execution, internal controls testing, and working in a dynamic environment with ongoing projects and initiatives. 📍 Location: Hybrid – Required to work in office 3 days per week 📅 Duration: Initial 6–12 month contract (potential extension)

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute hands-on SOX 404 testing activities, including walkthroughs, control testing, documentation, and evaluation of control effectiveness
• Perform risk-based testing of internal controls and identify potential gaps or deficiencies
• Support remediation efforts and provide recommendations for control improvements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and process owners to ensure compliance requirements are met
• Assist with ad hoc internal audit, controls, and compliance-related projects as required
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality audit documentation and deliverables

Required Qualifications: ✅ Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent internal audit/control certification ✅ Experience executing SOX 404 / ICFR testing within complex organizations ✅ Strong understanding of risk assessment, control design, and operating effectiveness testing ✅ Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently ✅ Strong hands-on SOX testing and internal controls experience
