Qualifications
ISSIP REQUIREMENTS:

Must be Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, Metis).

Must be registered at the University of Manitoba as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in both terms (Fall 2025 and Winter 2026). Students must have a minimum 60% course load (at least 9 credit hours per term for undergraduate students).
EDUCATION**:**
-
Must be interested in working with First Nation communities, be a student with an interest in the social sciences or social aspects of well-being.

Driver’s license an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
-
Lived experience in a First Nation community would be an asset.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- History of community participate (such sports, community projects) preferred.
Key responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Create and participate in health and education programs for youth and Elders in select communities.
- Help develop health and education programs in select communities.
