This role is ideal for a creative professional with a passion for music video production and editing. The project involves collaborating with a singer/songwriter to design, develop, and shoot a music video for a project based in Toronto. The selected expert will play a key role in shaping the visual narrative, ensuring the final product aligns with the artist’s vision. The position offers a hybrid work approach, combining onsite shoots in Toronto with remote editing and planning. There is potential for future projects based on performance and collaboration.
Deliverables
- Conceptualize and storyboard the music video in collaboration with the artist
- Plan and coordinate the video shoot, including location scouting and scheduling
- Direct and film the music video on location in Toronto
- Edit and post-produce the video, ensuring high-quality visuals and audio synchronization
- Provide creative input on visual style, pacing, and storytelling
- Assist with basic promotional strategies for the video’s release
- Deliver the final video in required formats and resolutions
Requirements
- Proven experience in music video production and editing
- Proficiency with industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong creative vision and ability to translate musical themes into compelling visuals
- Experience with camera operation, lighting, and on-set direction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work both onsite in Toronto and remotely as needed
- Strong organizational skills and ability to estimate project timelines
- Knowledge of basic video marketing and promotion is a plus
