About the role

Job Summary

The Inventory and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inventory and receiving departments. This role ensures that all inventory is accurately recorded, stored, and managed, and that all incoming shipments are received and processed efficiently. The supervisor will lead a team, implement best practices, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years experience in inventory management, receiving, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead hand, team lead or supervisor
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the inventory and receiving team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
  • Oversee the receiving process, including inspecting and verifying incoming shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and receiving.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory and receiving.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Working Environment:

  • Office & Shop Floor
  • Hours of work Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Rate of pay $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
