Title: Brand Ambassador
Reports to: Canadian Retail Field Sales Manager, Grills Canada
Territory: Eastern Ontario
Job Purpose: This role will be representing our well-known brand of outdoor grills and electric fireplaces sold in a major Big Box Retailer. You will be merchandising products and conducting weekly in store product demonstrations to grow sales and drive brand awareness
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintaining and merchandising authorized SKU's to approved layout and plan-o-gram.
- Attending and conducting in store brand events and demonstrations to share product knowledge with customers and store employees. Ensuring quality of products and that clients are knowledgeable about products.
- Completing sales service reports and uploading photos while in store.
- Provide product samples, coupons, informational brochures, or other incentives to persuade people to buy products. Demonstrate or explain products, methods, or services to persuade customers to purchase products or use services.
- Visit trade shows, stores, community organizations, or other venues to demonstrate products or services or to answer questions from potential customers.
- Identify interested and qualified customers to provide them with additional information. Suggest specific product purchases to meet customers' needs.
- Provide product information, using lectures, films, charts, or slide shows. Prepare or alter presentation contents to target specific audiences.
- Record and report demonstration-related information, such as the number of questions asked by the audience or the number of coupons distributed.
- Train demonstrators to present a company's products or services.
- Develop lists of prospective clients from sources such as newspaper items, company records, local merchants, or customers.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education: University Degree or college diploma in a related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 3-5 years. Experience representing products sold in Big Box retailers like the Home Improvement Channel, Leon’s and Costco.
Computer Software Requirement: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)
Specialized Skills:
- Ability to inspire and enhance memorable in store brand events and demonstrations.
- Able to communicate effectively with management and customers.
Other Comments
- Able to work Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, standing, walking and be able to push, pull and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.
- Smart phone or tablet (apple or android) with internet access to complete reports while in store.
- Some overnight travel will be required.
