About This position provides support to the Director, Credit Planning in a variety of functions including tasks rooted in data analytics, project management, and a forward-thinking approach to how risk should be evaluated at the company.
This position requires an individual who can perform analytics based on historical internal and third-party data, as well as an in-depth knowledge of data maintenance and manipulation.
Responsibilities

Perform credit/risk-based analytics rooted in the goal to mitigate risk and increase profitability; analytics involving:
-
Internal portfolio performance data, such as delinquency trends, repossession assignments, inventory balances, charge-off recommendations, etc. These analytics should result in recommendations for changes in pricing, underwriting guidelines, etc.

Risk-based pricing, model risk management, loss forecasting, and auto decisioning
-
Business cycleturn time data, application volume with approval and funding rates, third-party credit bureau report data, etc.

Work closely with our Business Intelligence/Data Analytics team(s) to:
-
Leverage advanced analytical tools to perform the above analytics in an efficient and effective manner

Understand and leverage our data environment to produce analytics
-
Develop easily accessible and repeatable views for several segments of the business,leveraging our advanced analytical tools
-
Produce data views used in standard data/reporting packages; this includes high-level summaries required by our parent company and smaller-scale internal management reporting.

Collaborate with individuals within the Credit Planning team, but consistently work with several functions to ensure a working knowledge of our business cycle and executive-set goals.

Participate in discussions regarding underwriting guidelines, credit/risk data analysis, Sales initiatives, operational risk protocol, etc.

Assist in managing Credit Planning projects, including (but not limited to):
-
Documenting project scopes, including write-ups for our Information Technology department to program system requirements needed for the success of the project.

Completing user-testing in our test and live environment to ensure appropriate functionality within the system (often, our front-end SalesForce environment).
-
Provide training to our Data Governance (application entry) and Underwriting teams to ensure these groups understand changes and new product rollouts, such as new credit evaluation models, fraud tools, and miscellaneous data captures.

Participate in system integration discussions by evaluating data field logic, preparing data upload files, and making recommendations.

Extracting data from our system(s) of record to understand how certain data elements are being used.

Working with our Information Technology department,evaluatingand creating new data logic, keeping in mind how all segments of the company use this data.

Perform additional related responsibilities as assigned by the Credit Planning leadership team, as well as assist Director, Credit Planning , as needed.
Profile we are looking for Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Advanced To Expert Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- A comfort level with data and the surrounding technology to work in data:
- Experience in SalesForce, Analytics Studio, Power BI, Python, SQL,DataBricks, etc.
- Prior knowledge of credit/risk concepts such as:
- Credit bureau data, loss forecasting, credit risk analytics, financial institution verbiage and lending concepts, statistical models, etc.
- Willingness to perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Project management, data maintenance/clean-up, and a range of data analytical projects.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, with priorities being re-evaluated regularly based on needs of Credit Planning, Sales, Underwriting, and Executive teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (required).
- Detail oriented, with the ability to self-manage the products this position produces.
- Critical thinking skills, with a focus on data-driven evaluation of processes and proposals.
- Communication skills, with the ability to communicate well in oral and written form throughout all levels of the organization.
- Create and maintain interpersonal relationships, with a strong ability to work well within a team.
- Leadership skills, including strategic thinking and initiative.
- Technical and professional knowhow .
- Self-motivated personal quality.
- Management skills, with the ability to plan and self-pace completion of tasks.
Education And Experience

Bachelor’s in business administration - finance or accounting OR any other related diploma;

3+ years of relevant experience in similar functions such as:
