The Role

We are seeking a skilled and driven Analytics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be designing data solutions to drive business decisions and operational efficiency. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization, including IT, business operations and senior leadership. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights using our core technology stack, which includes SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake , and dbt .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI to meet business needs.
  • Data Modeling & Optimization: Build and optimize Snowflake data models to ensure scalability and high performance.
  • Data Pipelines & Transformation: Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using dbt, ensuring accurate and efficient data transformation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure data accuracy, and deliver analytical insights that drive decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data governance, SDLC processes, and analytics workflows.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence in data engineering.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve data-related issues, ensuring smooth and reliable data operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or sufficient proven experience within the field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analytics and engineering, with hands-on expertise in SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt & SSRS or equivalent tools & technologies.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement large-scale data solutions and optimize complex data models using a variety of modeling techniques such as Star Schema & OBT.
  • Governance & Process: Strong understanding of data governance, quality standards, and enforcing processes in data operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Architect Mindset: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions by leveraging the appropriate tools, while adopting a comprehensive, end-to-end process perspective.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent work streams with competing deadlines, including experience prioritizing high-impact work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results Mindset: Experience quantifying and communicating business impact of analytics solutions. Track record of driving measurable improvements in business processes through data-driven solutions. Ability to balance perfect vs. pragmatic solutions to deliver business value.
