About the Role
This is a true business development role with autonomy, responsibility, and room to grow. You will be trusted to promote and sell crop inputs while building strong, long-term relationships with growers. This role combines strategic sales planning with hands-on agronomic support, including soil sampling, fertilizer and crop protection recommendations, field visits, and ongoing customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Effectively present, promote, and sell Sylvite products and services to existing and prospective grower customers
- Implementation of crop input planning to meet individual grower needs – including soil samples, fertilizer and crop protection recommendations, field visits
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other branches when necessary
- Actively participate in continuous learning opportunities for sales, seed, and crop protection
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on quotes for approval by the branch manager, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
About You
- 3+ years in a sales related position
- 3+ years in Agriculture or a related industry
- University/College degree or diploma in agriculture or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office software, specifically Excel
