We're looking for a sharp and analytical Procurement Operations Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sourcing Operations, this is a role where you'll dive deep into our spend data to uncover insights and opportunities, leading the efforts to strengthen the use of data for planning and decision making; manage our key procurement systems; and deliver process improvements. You'll be the bridge between data and action, helping us make smarter decisions and streamline our processes, with an enterprise-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and present dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports to leadership teams to communicate procurement trends, risks and opportunities to support business strategy and decision making within and across business lines.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to spend owners. Analyze technology costs and perform benchmarking to assess business value, including identifying performance metrics for actionable business intelligence.- Utilize data to support sourcing transactions and identify cost-saving opportunities and contract negotiations.
- Develop and deliver reporting on supplier risk management and sustainability.
Procurement Tool and Process Management:
- Serve as a lead for tool development, providing continuous process improvement.
- Provide reporting, analytical, and benchmark support using enterprise tools such as Google Suite, Workday, and ServiceNow, and external services for benchmarking and risk assessment of suppliers.
- Support changes to the procurement process and integration within existing tools.
- Support day to day operational tasks, including developing training for users, supporting the procurement team’s workflow management, and assisting with audits and data requests.
- Support Procurement Advisors in managing suppliers holistically for cost savings, performance improvements and value optimization.
Process Improvement:
- Proactively identify bottlenecks within the "Source-to-Pay" cycle and opportunities to improve the customer experience
- Identify and implement solutions leveraging AI and other technologies to automate manual workflows, enhance spend and supplier classifications, and streamline contract analysis and reporting for increased efficiency and stakeholder value.
- Develop business processes and training documentation to streamline operations and increase productivity.
- Support the continuous improvement of Third Party Risk Management processes to help monitor and govern TMX’s suppliers.
- Support the procurement transformational process to enhance capabilities aligned with business requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement and vendor management services.
- 5+ years of significant experience in accounting, finance, and/or working with statistics and data analytics.
Skills:
- Very strong technical aptitude, data, visualization, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency across a range of tools and technologies, including AI.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration and ensure clarity among team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply appropriate tools and analysis to specific situations.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate project teams, even without direct authority.
This role is hybrid (3-5 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Salary Range: 80,000/year -100,000/year CAD
