Summary:

Certarus is seeking a Project Manager to support the Projects team in the development and execution of mobile energy infrastructure projects focused on compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG), and hydrogen (H₂).

The Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring successful delivery of projects from concept through commissioning. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality energy infrastructure solutions.

This position can be based in Calgary, Alberta or Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain strong Certarus safety culture
• Manage the execution of mobile infrastructure projects related to CNG, RNG, and hydrogen energy systems
• Lead projects through all phases including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, HSE, and commercial teams to ensure project alignment
• Manage contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in project management within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
• Engineering degree strongly preferred
• Familiarity with natural gas, RNG, hydrogen, or related energy equipment and systems is an asset
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external contractors

Preferred Skills:

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is considered an asset

• Experience in midstream energy, gas processing, renewable fuels, or hydrogen infrastructure
