######Job Description

McCann Canada is seeking a Senior Analyst for Owned Channels & Paid Media to join our Digital Solutions team. This hybrid role brings together analytics performance across web, email, organic social and paid media performance oversight across channels.

You will guide a team responsible for measurement, optimization, and insight development, while partnering closely with activation and strategy teams to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly and deliver meaningful business outcomes. You will translate complex multi-channel data into clear, compelling stories, build measurement frameworks, lead learning agendas, and elevate the agency’s performance marketing practice.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze owned and campaign performance data across multiple channels (e.g., web, email, app, social, and paid media) to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify key metrics (KPIs) and develop easy-to-understand dashboards and reporting frameworks using Google Looker (formerly Data Studio) and Microsoft Power BI to communicate results to internal teams and clients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital tactics and media to provide actionable guidance for performance improvements.
  • Develop measurement plans, learning agendas, and test-and-learn roadmaps.
  • Translate complex multi-channel data and user behaviour findings into clear, compelling stories for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • : Partner with agency teams to communicate data-driven insights that inform campaign planning and creative development.
  • Evaluate and propose new tools and ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain knowledge of digital trends within the industry and help educate the broader team.

Other Characteristics of a Senior Analyst

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in both owned channel measurement and paid media performance preferably in a agency client or fast-paced organization.
  • Experience measuring the performance of a broad set of channels including web, email, social, app, and paid media.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics is required.
  • Experience building dashboards with Google Looker (formerly Data Studio) is required.
  • Experience with additional analytics platforms (i.e. Adobe Analytics) or alternate visualization dashboards (i.e. Power BI) is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Google Web Console, SEMRush, or other SEO metrics and strategies is considered an asset.
  • Experience with online conversion marketing or e-commerce is considered a strong asset.
  • Highly detail-oriented and can synthesize information from multiple perspectives and sources to make specific recommendations that align consumer and business needs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experienced team player with demonstrated mentoring abilities.
  • Solid understanding the evolving digital marketing landscape.
