The Digital Project Manager II is responsible for planning and delivering medium-scale digital health initiatives within the Digital Project Management Office. Working in partnership with clinical, operational and technical stakeholders, the Project Manager II supports the evaluation and implementation of digital health solutions (including patient-facing applications and workflow-enabling tools)
Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Development

- Plan, design and deliver medium-scale digital and clinical transformation projects impacting one or more departments.
- Conduct needs assessments to define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, risks and resourcing requirements.
- Support development of business cases and project proposals by gathering requirements, analyzing data and incorporating best practices.
- Maintain project schedules, budgets and documentation to support delivery on time and within agreed constraints.
- Project Implementation & Delivery

- Lead end-to-end implementation of assigned projects, coordinating activities and deliverables across interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, workplans and communication plans.
- Apply standard project management tools, templates and governance practices; contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards.
- Track milestones, issues, decisions and actions; escalate risks and barriers appropriately.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support

- Build strong working relationships with clinical, operational, digital and vendor stakeholders to enable adoption and sustained change.
- Facilitate working sessions, project meetings and workshops; ensure clear documentation and follow-up.
- Support change management activities (e.g., readiness planning, training coordination, communications, workflow impacts) in collaboration with partners.
- Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare project status reports, dashboards and presentations for sponsors and governance forums.
- Ensure accurate collection, analysis and documentation of project information, decisions and outcomes.
- Maintain project repositories and support lessons learned and post-implementation reviews.
- Quality Improvement & Performance Measurement

- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement aligned with Unity Health Toronto’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define measures of success and monitor project benefits and performance indicators.
- Corporate & Cross-Functional Responsibilities

- Represent the Digital PMO on committees, working groups and project forums as assigned.
- Perform cross-functional duties as required to support corporate priorities and program delivery.
- Safety & Confidentiality

- Adhere to all patient and employee safety and confidentiality policies.
- Identify, report and respond to safety risks and confidentiality breaches in accordance with hospital procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Health Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of project management experience in a healthcare environment, including experience supporting evaluation and/or implementation of digital health solutions and/or patient-facing applications (preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Lean/Six Sigma training or demonstrated quality improvement experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated facilitation, collaboration and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous environment.
- Understanding of clinical workflows and the use of clinical/operational data to support improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) required.
- Demonstrated professionalism, adaptability and commitment to Unity Health Toronto’s mission and values.
